We use extracellular matrix with great results as a scaffolding fiber for stem cells.

Arthritis conditions are acute disease processes that eventually become chronic.  It affects the joints, the parts of the body where bones meet bones to move. As arthritis creates swelling, it becomes tender and inflamed, causing discomfort, stiffness, swelling, and reduced range of motion. While arthritis is generally associated with aging, anyone can suffer from it at any age.  Arthritis is one of the leading causes of disability that reduces activities that bring meaning to your life like exercise, sports, employment or any recreation.

There are many ways to relieve arthritis pain, including cold compresses, localized heat treatments, anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, corticosteroids, and surgery. While most arthritis treatments relieve or mask the pain, their only purpose is to allow you to live with the debilitating condition. Surgery as an option, however, involves substantial pain and some risks in order to repair the underlying cause of the pain. It is a salvage procedure of last resort that is associated with prolonged recovery, severe post-operative pain and can frequently fail to achieve its goal to improve a person's quality of life.

At our regenerative medicine center, we take a different approach to arthritis pain relief by using a variety of natural and state-of-the-art biologic treatments to address the underlying cause of your pain. This can essentially repair certain portions of the joint that lead to regaining function and profound pain relief.

Types, causes, and symptoms of arthritis

There more than 100 types of arthritis and related diseases with osteoarthritis (OA) rheumatoid arthritis (RA) psoriatic arthritis (PsA) fibromyalgia and gout being the most common ones. These conditions can significantly affect a persons quality of life. A study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that more than a third of adults suffering from these conditions reported limitations in their leisure activities and work while 25% experienced pain. Osteoarthritis is the form of arthritis usually associated with aging and excessive use and condition most responsive to stem cell therapy.

The load bearing tissue cartilage, acts as a cushion and shock absorber thereby holding one bone on top of another. However when it deteriorates and causes increased friction within the joints, it can lead to pain. Additionally cartilage enables movement by providing a smooth glide between these two articulating bones Osteoarthritis is primarily caused by wear and tear on the joint cartilage over time while rheumatoid arthritis is a condition where the bodys immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues causing severe damage. Lastly gout is a type of arthritis characterized by the accumulation of acid crystals in joints that can have long term effects, on both cartilage and bone.

Why Conventional Treatments Are Not The Best

There have been many treatments for arthritis that have been developed with varying degrees of success. Some doctors prescribe anti-inflammatory medications or painkillers. Anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen have been shown to cause the production of a weak and substandard type of cartilage, leading to increased deterioration over time. Painkillers have a high rate of addiction and undesirable symptoms leading to failure. Exercise and stretching can help lessen the pain but do not lead to the healing of the joint. For severe pain, corticosteroid injections can reduce inflammation but have been widely shown in research to weaken the tissues such as cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and bone.

When other treatments for your arthritis pain have not been effective, surgery may be recommended by your doctor to repair, replace, or even fuse the damaged joints. These procedures can be very complex and come with potential risks and complications. Unfortunately, many surgical outcomes lead to more pain and limited mobility. Even when successful, there could be a long recovery process involving risk of infection, stiffness of the joint, chronic pain, or damage to nerves and blood vessels.

Spectrum Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Center provides genuine arthritis pain relief without surgery. Our goals are to stabilize, heal and keep your own joints.

Spectrum Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Center offers regenerative  and biologics based arthritis pain relief

Our regenerative medicine center often treats people suffering from arthritis-related joint pain. Our approach to arthritis pain relief begins with a free consultation to learn more about your specific arthritis pain. To determine the cause and nature of your arthritis, we use several cutting-edge diagnostic procedures with in-house x-ray and ultrasound.

It is important to note that some patients are not suitable candidates for our services and that may need surgery.  It is very important for our team to determine if our procedures can relieve your arthritis pain first before developing a treatment plan. In order to determine if our nonpharmaceutical and nonsurgical regenerative therapies are right for you, we will assess your case individually. The last thing we want is to prolong your frustration or delay your arthritis treatment.

We will discuss our non-surgical options with you if we are able to provide arthritis pain relief. Our natural orthobiologic protocols can help your body repair and restore cartilage in your joints. If you have any questions, please contact a care coordinator so we can talk about your case related to imaging, medical history, medications and your possibility as a candidate for a stem cell procedure.
