ALPHA2ACTIVE - A2M Therapy

Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) is an extracellular macromolecule that is found inside your blood.  Known for being a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor, it protects against the breakdown of cartilage by preventing the actions of proteins that can cause damage to the joints.  Its unique trapping mechanism allows it to be compared to a Venus Flytrap, since A2M traps the harmful elements and they are then removed through the natural processes in your body.  Although the A2M molecule is part of the body’s defense system, due to its complex structure, it is not able to go into the joint or disc space.  Because of that, extra A2M needs to be injected into the area that is affected in order to get pain relief.

Utilizing a patent-protected and specialized process, Alpha2Active or A2M is able to separate A2M from your blood, and then it will be reinjected into your body at the site that has been injured.  This allows for the natural healing in your body to be elevated and it helps your tissue with restoration.

If you are considering Alpha2Active-A2M therapy, an easy test can be performed to determine if you are a good candidate for it.

How A2M Injections Work:

Extraction:

During an office visit, a blood sample is taken and run through a centrifuge, during which time, the components of the blood are separated

Concentration:

Using a specialized system, the solution is then filtered, which allows for the A2M molecules to be isolated for a concentrated dosage

Activation:

The solution will be injected into the affected area that has been injured and the solution will work by trapping the harmful proteins that are causing the inflammation

Relief:

A number of patients will experience relief from their pain after just one injection.  Each person responds differently to treatment though, and the amount of treatments required will be determined by your doctor

A2M injections can be used for the following:

  • Bursitis
  • Degenerative disc or joint disease
  • Ligament sprains and tears
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Tendonitis and tendinosis
  • Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow
